Open/Close Menu Christian family in the San Francisco Bay Area enjoying Jesus' kingdom of grace through the Holy Spirit

I began crafting this prayer of declaration many years ago based upon the “me” I saw reflected in scripture, because—like so many Christians—I found myself struggling to bridge an oppressive gap between how I felt about myself and how the Word described me. I wrote this prayer because I discovered the only means of bridging that gap is faith in what Christ has already done for us! Because faith comes by hearing God’s word, I encourage you to take the time to read and meditate on the many scriptures I’ve footnoted throughout the prayer—the power is not in the prayer but in the Word.

Say this prayer out loud! Read it with confidence and boldness! Talking the talk almost always precedes walking the walk. Remember the words of T.L. Osborn: “I am who He says I am, and I can do everything He says I can do!”

Prayer of Declaration

I am loved by my father in heaven and I am his child. Everything dark or sinful in my life has been washed away, cleansed whiter than snow by the blood of Jesus [1]. When my father looks at me, He even sees Jesus, because my life is hidden with Christ in God [2]. What’s more, my heavenly father loves me exactly the same–no differently–as His precious son, Jesus [3].

When I believed and was baptized, the old “me” died completely [4]. Every old thing pertaining to my life before Jesus is dead and gone and I choose again today to never go back [5]. I am dead to sin and the flesh and they do not control me anymore [6]. Furthermore, I now live outside the matrix of control by the elementary demonic spirits of this world [7] because I am not of this world any longer [8]. I now live a brand new life in Christ starting fresh this very moment. In fact, I’m a brand new species of person, the likes of which the world has never seen until Jesus! Everything in me, my life, and my sphere of influence has been made perfectly new and is no longer subject to the curse of sin and death [9].

What’s more, because of this regeneration in Christ, I now operate freely and naturally in the law of faith. Because I am a brand new person in Christ, I live under a new law––the law of the Holy Spirit [10]. I no longer live or accomplish anything by the law of self-effort that comes from the curse of sin, but rather I live by the law of faith [11]. God created absolutely everything using faith put into action, pulling something out of nothing [12]. I also recognize today that it’s completely impossible for me to please God without that kind of faith [13].

I cannot please God by working hard or even trying my best to do good things in my own ability. I live on a different plane by living not in self-effort but by faith. Because I died and was reborn with the spiritual DNA of Jesus and am filled with the Holy Spirit, faith comes naturally to me [14]! Therefore it is normal and natural for me to believe God for the naturally impossible and normally unseen, as if it were already done [15]. I walk by faith, not by sight [16]. All of the commands of God are possible for me through that faith in Christ [17].

Therefore, today and for the rest of my life, it’s normal for me to move mountains by a single word [18]. It’s normal for me to kick out demons by a single word [19]. It’s normal for me to heal all who are sick and beat up by the devil [20]. It’s normal for me to open blind eyes [21]. It’s normal for me to raise the dead [22]. It’s normal for me to heal every kind of disease. It’s normal for me to get creative ideas right from heaven [23]. It’s normal for me to operate in the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit––in prophecy, word of knowledge, working of miracles, healings, word of wisdom, and others [24]. It’s normal for me to see the fruit of the Holy Spirit evident in my life every day: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control [25].

Releasing the Kingdom of God on earth is my number one priority today [26]. Releasing the Kingdom is easy––as I focus on simply loving the Holy Spirit and making him happy in everything I do, his abundant life breaks out all around me [27]. I live to bring my father honor and worship everywhere I go. I say what I hear my Father saying, and do what I see my Father doing, because he loves me and shows me what he’s doing [28]. Today I carry the Kingdom of God within me wherever I go [29]. I am sent just like Jesus, with Good News for a hurting world today [30]. The Light of the World is in me, and he outshines and destroys all darkness I will confront today [31], for he has overcome the world [32]. Christ in me is bigger and badder than any devil or darkness in all the world [33].

I belong to God [34]. I am a child of God [35]. I am filled with the Holy Spirit and streams of living water inside of me, refreshing me with joy [36]. I am dangerous to the devil because my Father has given me effective weapons for destroying demonic strongholds [37]. My Father loves me, and makes my path clear of every obstacle, curse, and attack of the enemy today [38]. Devil, you are under my feet today [39]!

Father, glorify your name through me today. Make me a doer of The Word, not just a hearer. I love your words, Papa, and I want to do your will [40]. Please connect me today with your kairos time for my life [41], and lead me into the good works you prepared for me to do before I was even born [42].
