During my (Jan’s) December retreat I believe the Lord spoke this word for the Forge family for 2016:
“The Word must be paramount in your hearts and your thinking. It must be the instruction you follow implicitly, individually and as a church family. There will be times in your lives this year when you will be wondering, “What’s happening? Things are crazy. How do we walk this out? Where is God in all this?” My answer to you is, “Know My Word. Do what I’ve told you there to do. Seek My Word. My Word and I are one.”
A good response to this word would be for the Forge family to read through the Bible, as one, this year. If you haven’t already started, jump in asap.
You can print up the reading calendar or maybe you can program your phone to pop up a message with the day’s reading. Here’s the reading plan link:
Would you consider taking some notes on what the Holy Spirit highlights to you during your Bible reading? Come prepared on Sundays to share an insight that has helped you out of the week’s reading. The Holy Spirit is very deliberate in what He highlights to each of us and we will all be more sensitive to hear and follow Him as a church body if we pool our revelations.
